Our Story
Lala Palm Safari Co. is a boutique specialist safari travel company that designs and guides luxurious tailor-made safaris.
At Lala Palm Safari Co. we understand an individual’s desires for freedom, discovery and adventure in the wild. Africa, and other exotic destinations like India provide us with the platform to give you just that, alongside a dose of luxury.​

We provide experiences for the solo travellers, couples, families, and groups. Whether it’s by vehicle, foot, helicopter, plane, boat and even traditional mokoro. Our aim is to make life-changing experiences a reality by tailoring all safaris with exceptional detail and care.
Our name comes from our adventures to Botswana. The lala palm trees are the sentinels of the delta, watching over the islands and waterways in the heart of the wilderness.

You can’t go anywhere in the magnificent landscape of Okavango Delta, Botswana, without seeing a fringe of incredibly tall and spindly lala palm trees dotting the horizon. The lala palms are nature’s snack cabinet, drawing in all kinds of creatures to exploit their goodness. Elephants find the gingery tasting palm nuts of the lala palm irresistible. Explorers of the delta are treated with a rapid-fire swishing sounds, a sure signal that an elephant is vigorously shaking a tree to get the nuts to fall loose.

Malvina is a FGASA nature guide and wildlife photographer.
She is also an integrative clinical psychologist and author. She follows a spirit of ecopsychology, increasingly deepening her understanding of the relationship between humans and nature.

Malvina’s passion is connecting people with a love of travel, adventure, nature and optimizing well-being through wellness-infused wildlife experiences. Malvina crafts wellness safaris to carve out moments to pause, breathe and absorb the healing power of the natural world, allowing moments to reconnect with and cherish the often-overlooked beauty around us.
